Who writes this
simpleprog is built and written by Muhammad Usman, a software engineer in the making, currently studying for a BS in Software Engineering at COMSATS University. He writes programs that automate tasks, builds website backends, and creates Discord bots in Python, and he specializes in Discord bot development, web scraping and automation, web development, and low-level development.
The courses here come from that work. Most of his public projects are scrapers, trackers, and automation tools, the same problems the Web Scraping and Anti-Bot courses teach you to solve.
Why simpleprog exists
The internet has a signal-to-noise problem. Tutorials bury the one thing you need under intros, pop-ups, and filler. simpleprog is the opposite: structured lessons that get to the point, with working code and no sign-up.
Everything is free: the courses on web scraping, anti-bot evasion, cybersecurity, and networking; the learning roadmaps; and the developer news and research paper summaries.

- paperback A fully local web app to manage, search, and highlight arXiv and Hugging Face papers, with no cloud and no accounts.
- blvd-scraper A scraper that collects dealer data by ID into a database.
- vinted-bot and olx-bot Discord bots that track listings on Vinted and OLX.
- lost-and-found A RESTful API for a lost-and-found system with Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and JWT authentication.
